I’m currently a Florida-based, UX Writer for Dycom Industries.
My background is in Writing & Rhetoric, which is just a fancy way of saying I’m an expert at influencing others through language. Despite being rooted in the ancient art of discourse, I managed to digitize my degree by studying everything from Plato to Portal 2. What I ended up with was an acute understanding of how people have historically used the available means of persuasion— and how we can best leverage time-honored rhetorical strategy in a new, digital world.
Now, I use language to create comfortable experiences that make technological advancement feel a little less scary. My strengths lie in content strategy and development, but I’m no stranger to running usability tests, dabbling in information architecture, or proposing to stakeholders,
If I’m not creating content? I’m practicing bass, taking dance classes at a nearby studio, or dressing up my taxidermy rats!
